Are you sick, weary, burdened, crushed, bruised, or simply downtrodden by the calamities of this world? Bring them to Jesus. He loves to heal, deliver, and set free!

There is power in the name of Jesus.

There is healing in the name of Jesus.

Jesus is our Savior. He came to seek and save the lost. He shows compassion to those who are harassed and helpless. He is able. Nothing is impossible with him. He is our healer.

Jesus Is The Same Yesterday, Today And Forever

When Jesus walked the earth, he healed the sick, opened blind eyes, delivered the oppressed and possessed – He even raised the dead. And He has not changed! We are told, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

What Jesus did when He walked the earth, He can still do today.

Jesus Brings Good News

When Jesus started his ministry, He went to the synagogue on the Sabbath and stood up to read the Scriptures.

The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to Him. He unrolled the scroll and started to read, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.” (Luke 4:18-19)

Jesus then turned to the people in attendance and told them, “The Scripture you’ve just heard has been fulfilled this very day!” (Luke 4:20-21)

From this moment on, wherever Jesus went…

  • He brought GOOD NEWS to the poor
  • He set captives free
  • He opened blind eyes
  • He released the oppressed
  • He ushered in a time of God’s favor

Jesus Heals

There are many scriptures that show Jesus in action. For a moment let me just touch on a few examples in Matthew 8 and 9…

“Large crowds followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside. Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. “Lord,” the man said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared.” (Matthew 8:1-3)

Leprosy is a highly contagious disease where your body starts to rot.

This man was isolated from his family. He had nothing to look forward to. He had no more hope. He was left to live in the wilderness until death set in.

But everything changed when he met Jesus.

One touch from Jesus and he was healed. He had new skin, new hope, and was reconnected to his family.

Healed.

Delivered.

Set free.

“When Jesus returned to Capernaum, a Roman officer came and pleaded with him, “Lord, my young servant lies in bed, paralyzed and in terrible pain.” Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.” But the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed.” (Matthew 8:5-8)

Jesus just spoke the word, “Be healed!” and this young man was completely healed.

Again, “When Jesus arrived at Peter’s house, Peter’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. But when Jesus touched her hand, the fever left her. Then she got up and prepared a meal for him.” (Matthew 8:14-15)

It is as easy for Jesus to heal a headache and fever as it is to heal someone of leprosy.

No situation is too far gone. No need is too small. Jesus can heal your hurts, ailments, and diseases.

“That evening many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command, and he healed all the sick. This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, “He took our sicknesses and removed our diseases.” (Matthew 8:15-17)

Jesus can deliver you from your hurts, your bondages, and from whatever is tormenting you. He delivers the bound. He heals the sick. He is our all in all.

After these events, Jesus calmed” aferocious storm”. (Matthew 8:23-27)

He then delivered two people who were oppressed by the forces of darkness. These men were thought to be mad men. But Jesus set themcompletely free”. (Matthew 8:28-34)

These two men were bound and broken. In today’s world, they may have been diagnosed with a mental health illness. I don’t know what their story was. I don’t know what caused their manic episodes or their inner turmoil, but when they met Jesus, He set them completely free.

They were delivered from the demonic influence that was wrecking their lives, and they both experienced the healing touch of Jesus. They were left in peace, and with a sound mind.

Jesus then was faced with another need…

“Some people brought to him a paralyzed man on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “Be encouraged, my child! Your sins are forgiven.” (Matthew 9:2)

This man was crippled and paralyzed. Jesus, “turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!” (Matthew 9:6)

This paralyzed man was radically healed. One moment he had no feeling in his body. He could not move.

One moment with Jesus and he had feeling back in his body. He could stand, bend, walk, and run. Jesus brought freedom and healing to this bound man.

Jesus then told the people in the crowd, Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do.” (Matthew 9:12)

Are you sick? Bound? Tormented? Broken?

Come to Jesus. He is willing and able to heal your life.

Jesus then shared, I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” (Matthew 9:13)

You may have made a mistake, and your mess-up may have led to a messed-up life.

You may have been the victim of someone else’s evil. Maybe you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sometimes life just happens.

If you are sick, broken, or bound, call on Jesus. He understands your situation. He knows what is happening in your heart, head, and your life.

So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” (Hebrews 4:16)

Approach Jesus. Ask Him to heal you. Ask Him for his grace, His mercy, and His help. Jesus forgives. He heals. He delivers. He sets free.

Again Jesus is approached by a religious leader. This man desperately tells Jesus, My daughter has just died.” The father pleads with Jesus to come and pray for his dead daughter. He said to Jesus, “I know that you can bring her back to life again if you just come and lay your hand on her.” (Matthew 9:18)

Jesus immediately sets off to go pray for his dead girl.

I need to tell you that no situation is too far gone. You may be facing a hopeless situation. It may seem like you are at a dead end. It may seem too late. Hold on! Know this – Jesus is God. He has all power and authority. He can make a way even when it looks impossible.

On His way to pray for this young lifeless girl, Jesus is interrupted.

“Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe, Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, “Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was healed at that moment.” (Matthew 9:20-22)

This lady was also in a desperate situation.

She had been sick for 12 years. She had gone to the doctors. No one could help her. Her last resort was getting to Jesus.

In her weakened and fragile condition, she may have given up, but she pressed through the crowd.

She reached out to Jesus and just managed to touch the fringe of His robe.

And that was it! Just one touch and she was radically healed!

Jesus was busy. He was on his way to pray for a dead girl, but He stopped.

He took time out to minister to this woman. God doesn’t mind when you bother him with your problems. He is never too busy for you. He loves to bring healing.

Jesus eventually arrived at the religious leader’s home. By this time, a noisy crowd was already preparing for the funeral.

But Jesus went straight into the room where this dead girl lay: “Jesus went in and took the girl by the hand, and she stood up!” (Matthew 9:25)

Jesus raised this dead girl back to life.

If Jesus can heal a woman who has been sick for 12 years and raise a dead girl back to life, he can do the same for you.

God “shows no favoritism.” (Acts 10:34)

God will never fail you” and He “will never abandon you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

God sees you. He loves you. He has not changed: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

We are then told, “After Jesus left the girl’s home, two blind men followed along behind him, shouting, “Jesus, have mercy on us!” They went right into the house where he was staying, and Jesus asked them, “Do you believe I can make you see?” “Yes, Lord,” they told him, “we do.” Then he touched their eyes and said, “Because of your faith, it will happen.” (Matthew 9:27-29)

These two blind men lived in darkness. They could not see the beauty of God’s creation. They had never seen their own family. They were unable to work or earn money because of their blindness.

But one touch from Jesus and he opened their blind eyes. He gave them so much more than just sight. He gave them a brand-new life with a new vision!

“When they left, a demon-possessed man who couldn’t speak was brought to Jesus. So Jesus cast out the demon, and then the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed. (Matthew 9:32-33)

Nothing Is Too Difficult For Jesus

Let this sink in: Nothing is too difficult for God.

Jesus is able to heal. We have looked at a few scriptures of Jesus in action, and He is still the same Jesus today!

I love seeing Jesus in action in the pages of the Gospels (The books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John)!

I pray that He will walk off the pages of the Bible and enter right into your heart.

I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27)

Do you see His heart for the lost, bruised, and battered.

Jesus Is Full Of Compassion For Broken People

At the end of Matthew 9, we are given a glimpse of Jesus’ love and compassion for hurting and broken people.

We are told, “Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” (Matthew 9:35-36)

When Jesus saw people who were harassed and helpless, he was moved to action.

Do You Need Healing? Ask God To Intervene.

Jesus told us to ask…

Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7)

Jesus went on, “For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.” (Matthew 7:8-11)

Again, Jesus told us, “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!” (John 15:7)

Jesus also said, You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.” (John 16:24)

Nothing is impossible with God.

Jesus still heals today. He can heal your life and I want to pray for you, but before we do, I need to tell you of the greatest miracle you can experience.

When Jesus walked the earth, He forgave sin, He released people from oppression and bondage, He healed people and He set captives free.

“And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” (Acts 10:38)

Do You Know That Jesus Is The Savior?

Jesus suffered and died on the cross so that you and I can be saved.

A prophecy about Jesus says, But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

Jesus was beaten, whipped, and nailed to the cross.

He paid the full price for our sin, sickness, and suffering. He did this so that we can know His forgiveness, peace, healing, and come back into a relationship with God, that can start today and goes right on into eternity.

After dying on the cross, Jesus rose from the grave, conquering sin and death. He then ascended into heaven. The Bible tells us that he will one day return to fetch his children and judge the world.

Jesus forgives sinners.

He shed his blood to bring life and life more abundantly.

If your life is not right with God, call on Jesus.

If that is you, receive the greatest gift of all. Today you can know that your eternity is secure, you can know complete forgiveness, and you can come into a relationship with God, all because of what Jesus did for you.

Pray To Receive Jesus As Your Lord And Savior

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Pray For God To Bring Healing

Father, in the name of Jesus, I bring your people to you. I pray that this word will penetrate hearts and build faith. I thank you that you are the healer. Lord, you know exactly what healing is needed. You know what is broken. You know the solution. Thank you that no sickness is too serious or too far gone for you. In the mighty name of Jesus, we speak to sickness and disease, to every weakness, to cancer, to every pain, to every tormenting spirit that is holding you in bondage, to every addiction. And, in Jesus’ name, may every one of these be loosened and broken off your life. Be healed in Jesus’ name. Be delivered in Jesus’ name. Be set free in Jesus’ name. Thank you, Jesus, for this breakthrough and restoration, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
