Pause.

Often, my life gets so busy and frantic. I am sure you understand. Life sometimes speeds by, and I feel like a hamster on the wheel, running hard but going nowhere. Sometimes, I am so focused on clearing my to-do list that I lose track of what is important, and I am left feeling entangled, overloaded, and disconnected from God.
And the truth is, He is the very one I should be giving my burdens to.
Sometimes, all that is needed is to pause, get out of the noise, focus on Jesus, and release my burdens to Him.
At other times, I get so consumed by my problems that they stress me out, I get anxious, and I lose my composure.
Do you ever feel like this? Maybe you get overwhelmed and anxious.
It is so easy to get entangled under a yoke of bondage and to get disengaged, confused, and feel cut off from hope and God’s blessing when life gets out of control.
When we get into this space, we lose our peace and joy. It can feel like you have the whole world on your shoulders, like it is only up to you, while the truth is that there is a God who loves us who wants us to bother Him with our troubles. He is the way-maker, the solution-provider, and the peace-giver.
I want to encourage you to breathe.
Pause.
Even Jesus took time to pause, get quiet, and consult with God.

“Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” (Mark 1:35 NIV)
God knows what is happening in the world and what is troubling you. He knows what will happen tomorrow. He can fix what is broken and turn everything out for the good.
Don’t get so wrapped up in temporary things. Don’t allow the cares of this world to consume you. Don’t let your burdens break you.
Let go of your troubles.
Hand them over to God.
Invite Jesus to be the center.
Jesus told us not to worry about anything but rather to pray to Him about everything.
Give him everything and everyone that is burdening you. Call on him. Ask him to help you. Ask for his wisdom, guidance, and help. He can fix it!
Jesus told us, “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly, I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” (Matthew 6:5-8 NIV)
Make time for God. Get quiet with God. Make time for God. Get out of the rat race. Get close to God.
Draw near to God.
“Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” (James 4:8 NIV)
Wait in God.
“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:30-31 NKJV)
Cast your cares on God.
“Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.” (Psalms 55:22 NKJV)
Give him your fears and worries. Unload your insecurities and concerns on God.
Give your burdens to Jesus.
Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28 NIV)
I love the way the Message Version interprets the words of Jesus:
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me, and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me, and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
Pause.
Surrender your concerns to Jesus.
Confess your sins. Repent of your wrongs.
Give him your fears and anxieties.
Get still.
Ask God to fill you anew.
Ask God to bring healing, breakthroughs, and deliverance.
Breathe.
Let go of your burdens.
Let God be your all-in-all.
As you let go of your troubles and surrender your life to Jesus, you will not only regain your composure but also know the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.
So, don’t take the stresses of life too seriously.
Put your hope in God.
He has got it. He can fix it.
Pause.
Let it all go.
Release.
Ask God to take your burdens.
Cast your cares on Jesus.
Give Him your life along with everything in it.
Surrender.
Ask God to fill you.
Wait on God.
Draw near to Him.
Don’t just make room for Jesus; give Him your life.
Make Jesus the center.
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33 NIV)
