Are you anxious? Worried? Overwhelmed?

According to the latest statistics many are battling to cope and feel stressed out. The current pandemic seems to have poured more fuel into the fire and so many are left feeling depressed, tired with dread eating them up on the inside.

I heard of a survey that was conducted in the US on 100,000 students. The shocking results found that …

86% were overwhelmed by all they had to do,

82% were completely exhausted,

66% were sad,

60% were lonely,

59% were completely overwhelmed by anxiety, and

54% felt under tremendous stress.

I am sure that if this survey had been done anywhere in the world, the results would have been similar.

The bottom line is that more than 1 in every 2 people interviewed felt completely overwhelmed, stressed out, sad, lonely, exhausted, troubled, and anxious.

Accord to latest research done, the top stresses that people face are…

  1. money
  2. work issues
  3. family
  4. health concerns

Are you troubled by money issues? Are you dreading your work? Are your family relationships under stain? Are you facing a health concern?

I do not know where you stand today, but you can bring your troubles to Jesus.

I heard a story about a young man who was in college. He was battling to cope. He was depressed and anxious. He got to a stage where he could not take any more. He was so worried, anxious, and overburdened.

At this crazy time in his life, he heard a message about how he didn’t have to face his troubles alone, but that he could LET GOD be part of his life, and that God would provide a solution.

That evening when he got back to his room, he took out six A4 pieces of paper. On each piece of paper he wrote out a bold letter, L, then E, then T. He followed this up with G, then O and then D, spelling out “LET GOD”.

He then stuck these pages up on his wall.

The next morning when he woke up, he still felt completely overwhelmed and worried about his future. He was stressed out. He looked up at the LET GOD letters on his wall and prayed, Oh God, what must I do?

He then went on with his usual tasks.

He always left his window slightly open for air flow, and that day a huge gust of wind blew through this apartment.

The wind blew the D off his wall, leaving … LET GO.

This young man immediately felt that God was telling him to do something. In order to LET GOD help him, he needed to first LET GO.

That day this young man had a revelation from God to LET GO of his burdens. He surrendered his worries and concerns, along with his anxieties to God. He LET GO and in so doing, he LET GOD take over.

You can let go of your troubles and hand them over to God. He wants you to bother him with your problems. You can LET GO and LET GOD!

I want you to know that you don’t have to face your troubles alone. God wants to do life with you. He wants to walk the journey with you. You can surrender your burdens and cares to him.

Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

God’s word is clear.

  1. Don’t worry about anything,
  2. Instead, pray about everything.
  3. Tell God what you need,
  4. Thank him for all he has done.
  5. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.
  6. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (NLT)

In Matthew 6:25, Jesus told us, “I tell you, do not worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?”

Jesus went on in v 26 and said, Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?”

Jesus then asked, Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”

Jesus continued in v28-30, “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?”

Jesus continued in v31-32 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.”

Jesus concluded his teaching on worry by saying in v 33-34, But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”

Jesus told us not to worry about anything. He said just “seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all the things you need will be added unto you.

In Matthew 11:28 Jesus also told us “Come to me, all who are weary  and burdened, I will give you rest.”

Often, we hold on to stress. We feel overloaded. We get depressed and anxious. We do not have to live this way.

You can LIVE THE LET GO LIFE. You can LET GO and LET GOD takeover.

Psalm 55:22 tells us to Cast your cares on the LORD”. When we cast our cares on God the Bible tells us that “He will sustain you” and God “will never let the righteous be shaken.”

It is time to let go of your troubles. Surrender them to God.

1 Peter 5:7 tells us to “Cast all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].” (AMP)

Today, choose to cast your care on Jesus, for he cares for you.

You don’t have to face life’s issues alone. Put your hope in God.

Are you facing a stressful situation?

Have you lost your way?

Are you depressed and worried and disillusioned by life?

Give your burdens to Jesus. LET GO and LET GOD.

Do you feel empty on the inside?

Do you have a void in your life?

Only God can fill that vacuum in your life. Only God can give you lasting satisfaction.

Psalm 107:9 says, For God satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.”

God can satisfy your innermost yearning with good things.

So often we fill our lives with junk. Sometimes in search for meaning and purpose we try fill our lives with things, but only God can fill your life with lasting peace and purpose.

Billy Graham said, “We all have a hunger in our hearts for God, and empty place in ourselves that only God can fill.”

Psalms 42:1-2 says, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?”

The problem we have is that instead of turning to God and letting him fill our souls, we often turn to other things.

You may have turned to pleasure, or money, or sex, or alcohol, or drugs to fill that void.

Some turn to false philosophies, others turn to false religions, all in the hope that it will lead to truth and hope, and that this will fill that empty space.

For a season some may think that they have found what they are looking for, but in the end, they are still left empty and know that something is missing. Only God can satisfy our inner hunger and He will, as you turn to Him, and by faith open your heart to Jesus Christ.

Romans 15:13 says,May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

If you are overwhelmed with stress, worry and anxiety. Or if you feel empty on the inside, like something is missing, I want to encourage you to LET GO of your burdens and LET GOD in.

Blaise Pascal said, “There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator, made know through Jesus Christ.”

Surrender your life to Jesus. Give him your burdens and concerns. Let go of your worries and anxieties. Let go of your sins.

Ask Jesus to fill that void. Ask Jesus to flood your life with his peace that surpasses all understanding. Ask him to fill you to overflowing with his favor and goodness.

Are you in trouble?

You may find yourself in the valley of trouble.

Maybe you have messed up.

Maybe you are facing a major disappointment.

Maybe you are down and out.

Maybe you feel enslaved or discouraged.

Maybe you find yourself on the wrong road.

Maybe you are empty or searching for meaning in life.

Turn to God. He can fill that void. He can make a way. LET GO. LET GOD.

God is able to turn your mourning into dancing. He can bring light into your darkest situation. He can transform your life.

Hosea 2:15 confirms this where it says that God can transform the Valley of Trouble into a gateway of hope.”

Are you stuck in a dark valley?  Are you in trouble?

God can turn your valley of trouble into a gateway of hope.

In John 10:9, Jesus said,I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved.”

Jesus is the gateway of hope. He can lead you out of the valley of trouble.

Jesus went on in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.”

Jesus also said in John 10:27-28, My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.”

Let go of your worries and concerns.

Let God fill your life.

Let God transform your valley of trouble into a gateway of hope.

If you are lost, weary or burdened, or empty, or in trouble, LET GO of your burdens. LET GOD be your source and fill you. LET GOD TRANSFORM your life.

Surrender your life to God along with your burdens and baggage.

Father I ask you to forgive me for my sins and short comings. Thank you, Jesus, for the full price you paid for me on the cross. I surrender my life to you, along with all my cares, worries and burdens. Lord Jesus I ask you to be my Savior. Please save me and cleanse me. In Jesus name. Amen.

Father I ask you to touch me. I am desperate for you. Please intervene in my life. Please pour out your supernatural grace, mercy and favor on my life. Lord please heal my mind, emotions and every broken area in my life. Please deliver me and unblock my heart.  Please set me free. Lord, we ask you to fill every void and flood my troubled heart with your abundant peace. Pour out your Spirit on me and fill me to overflowing. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
