Life Tip: Build on the Right Foundation

The world has become complex and confusing. We are facing tough times.

When everything is so unstable, what are you building your life on?

The Bible says that in the last days, there will be a great shaking.

In Matthew 24:29, Jesus told us that “the powers in the heavens will be shaken.”

Hebrews 12:26-27 also tells us “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”

Life can be uncertain, and we are living in troubling times. We currently face unprecedented times of wars, cultural battles, political polarisation, divisions, new godless ideologies, natural disasters, pandemics, and erratic financial markets making life unpredictable. We are seeing the very foundations of the world being shaken.

According to scripture, while the man-made systems will be shaken and while even the heavens will be shaken, we can take comfort in God, that his kingdom is eternal, and that his kingdom “cannot be shaken.” (Hebrews 12:28-29)

Where does your hope lie? Is your hope in a fragile worldly system or in God?

Today, in these unsettling times, I want to implore you to build your life on a solid foundation.

Jesus told us, “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.” (Matthew 7:24-27 NLT)

Jesus told us about a wise man and a foolish man. According to Jesus, the wise person builds his/her life on a firm foundation, while the foolish person builds their life on sinking sand. Both went through a storm. One was left standing, and one was shaken and came crashing down.

This story represents our lives. One day we will all go through the great storm, judgment day. Either we will be left standing, or we will crash out. It all depends on what we have built our life on.

Be wise.

Don’t build your life on the sand. Build your life on the bedrock of God.

All other foundations will one day collapse. Don’t be foolish. Without a firm foundation, you will fall. Build your life on the solid unshakable foundation of God.

Call on Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. Build your life on a firm foundation. Let Jesus be the center of your life. Jesus is the chief cornerstone that holds it all together.

There was a problem called sin. It cut us off from God. But on the cross, Jesus paid the full price for our transgressions so that we can be made right with God. Because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross, you can rebuild your life on the solid unshakable foundation of God.

God knows what is up in your life, and he has all the power and authority. He cannot be shaken. He cares about you and he desires a close walk with you. Invite Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. Build your life on an unshakable foundation of God.

Let us Pray…

Dear Lord Jesus, I give you my life, along with my fears, and my sins. I need you. Please forgive me, cleanse me, and save me. Today, I choose to rebuild my life on the bedrock of your Kingdom. Please lift me up and replant me. Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I ask you to be my Lord and Savior. Thank you that from today, I am your child and part of your unshakable Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

If you have prayed this prayer, please let us know. We would love to pray for you and send you an incredible eBook to help you on your journey with God.
