12 Godly steps to help you make important decisions

Help, I need to make an important decision!

It can be difficult to make the right decisions. 

I have included 12 steps from God’s Word to help you make good choices that can lead to a fruitful outcome. 

12 Godly steps to make important decisions:

1.) Make sure your decisions align with God’s will:

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” (1 John‬ ‭5:14)

2.) Make sure your decision will be pleasing to God:

“And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.” (1 John‬ ‭2:17‬)

3.) Make wise choices: 

“A wise person chooses the right road; a fool takes the wrong one.” (Ecclesiastes‬ ‭10:2‬)

4.) Trust God for direction:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-6‬)

5.) Plan well:

“Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.” (Proverbs‬ ‭21:5‬)

6.) Ask God for help:

Jesus said, “You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!” (John‬ ‭14:13-14‬)

7.) Get advice:

“Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others.” (Proverbs‬ ‭12:15‬)‭

8.) Commit your plans to God:

“Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” (Proverbs‬ ‭16:3‬)

9.) Wait patiently on God for the answer:

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” (Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬)

10.) Leave the results up to God:

“We may throw the dice, but the Lord determines how they fall.” (Proverbs‬ ‭16:33‬)

11.) Persevere:

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬)

12.) Stand in faith:

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews‬ ‭11:6)
