Look to God for help – make Him your refuge. Pray to Him, giving Him all your worries.

Romans 8:28

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

Did you just read that?

God will cause ALL THINGS to work out for the GOOD of those who love God and are called to His purpose! Rest in this truth, that God WILL use this tough time for GOOD.

Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

This was a command from God to Joshua. He found himself in a stressful place – he had just been appointed to lead Israel into the promised land.

No matter the situation you are facing, you can be strong and courageous, not in your own strength, but knowing that God is with you wherever you go.

Isaiah 41:13 (NKJV)

“For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, ‘Fear not, I am the one who helps you.’”

1 John 4:4 (NIV)

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”

The same spirit that raised Jesus from the grave and seated Him at the right hand of God lives in you (Romans 8:11). We have resurrection power in us! If that doesn’t fill you with confidence in the Lord, I don’t know what will!

Do you want to know more about this spirit inside you? His name is the Holy Spirit, and here is everything about him!

Psalm 46:1-3

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. So, we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!”

God is our “ever-present help in times of trouble”. You do not have to be afraid because you can take refuge in Him.

Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)

“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.”

Has your strength been sapped away? Have you grown weary? I want to encourage you to put your hope in the Lord!

I also want to say something profound:

A while back, I heard a story about an eagle who thought he was a chicken. Now I know this sounds crazy, but this eagle (with the potential to fly) was waddling around in the dirt of the chicken coop – completely purposeless.

This may just be you. You may have settled for less (the chicken coop), but I believe God is calling you to new heights (to soar like the eagle you are). If you’re ready the soar, click here to read our post.

Yes, you may have stumbled, but God says that He will not let the godly fall! This is a promise from God that you can hold firmly.

Psalm 34:17 (NIV)

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.”
