When you find yourself in a stressful position, pray to God instead of being overwhelmed with anxiety. You will then experience God’s peace which “transcends all understanding” and your mind will be at ease.

“I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to Him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in Him!”

Look to God for help – make Him your refuge. Pray to Him, giving Him all your worries.

Romans 8:28

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”

Did you just read that?

God will cause ALL THINGS to work out for the GOOD of those who love God and are called to His purpose! Rest in this truth, that God WILL use this tough time for GOOD.

Joshua 1:9 (NIV)

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

This was a command from God to Joshua. He found himself in a stressful place – he had just been appointed to lead Israel into the promised land.

No matter the situation you are facing, you can be strong and courageous, not in your own strength, but knowing that God is with you wherever you go.

Isaiah 41:13 (NKJV)

“For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, ‘Fear not, I am the one who helps you.’”

God is saying to you today, “Do not fear, I will help you. I will lead you through this.”

Mark 10:27

“Jesus looked at them intently and said, ‘Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.’”

It may look like an impossible situation, and maybe it is (from a human point of view!), but with God everything is possible!

We serve the same God who flung the stars into space – the Creator. He can do ALL things!

This is another command to be strong and courageous in your difficult situation, for God will “never leave you nor forsake you.” Can I get an “Amen” in the comments?

1 John 4:4 (NIV)

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”

The same spirit that raised Jesus from the grave and seated Him at the right hand of God lives in you (Romans 8:11). We have resurrection power in us! If that doesn’t fill you with confidence in the Lord, I don’t know what will!

Do you want to know more about this spirit inside you? His name is the Holy Spirit, and here is everything about him!

Psalm 46:1-3

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble. So, we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!”

God is our “ever-present help in times of trouble”. You do not have to be afraid because you can take refuge in Him.

Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)

“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.”

Has your strength been sapped away? Have you grown weary? I want to encourage you to put your hope in the Lord!

I also want to say something profound:

A while back, I heard a story about an eagle who thought he was a chicken. Now I know this sounds crazy, but this eagle (with the potential to fly) was waddling around in the dirt of the chicken coop – completely purposeless.

This may just be you. You may have settled for less (the chicken coop), but I believe God is calling you to new heights (to soar like the eagle you are). If you’re ready the soar, click here to read our post.

John 16:33

“’I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.’”

Yes, there will be trials and sorrows on earth. Yes, times can be tough. But, you can have peace in Jesus, for He has already overcome the world! Take heart!

Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV)

“’I will never leave you nor forsake you.’”

A simple yet powerful scripture.

When will God leave you? NEVER! When will HE forsake you? NEVER!

Psalm 37:23-24

“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.”

Yes, you may have stumbled, but God says that He will not let the godly fall! This is a promise from God that you can hold firmly.

Psalm 34:17 (NIV)

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.”

You can cry out to the Lord and He will hear you. He will deliver you from all your troubles.

So, He sent His Son (Jesus) to pay the price on the cross, so that we can be forgiven and come into a relationship with Him.

You can start a walk with God, not because of what you do, but because of what Jesus did.

When you accept Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life, you become a child of God. You can experience His peace that transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7)! Commit your life, along with all your burdens, to Him – He wants a close relationship with you.
