HOW TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOD ORDAINED FINANCIAL DREAMS!
A THOUGHT TO CONSIDER:
God has a plan for your life. It is a good plan. It is a plan to give you hope and a bright future.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11)
But so often we do not set goals, and when we take a hard knock, we often want to give up and quit. At times like this it is so easy to stop dreaming. Now, I know that there is so much more to life than mere material possessions, but God has called us to be good stewards of what he has entrusted to us.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” (Colossians 3:23)
God also wants us to be wise with our money management.
“The wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends whatever he gets.” (Proverbs 21:20)
Today I want to encourage you to dare to dream and to then break down your God ordained goals into bite size chunks to achieve your financial dreams.

PRACTICAL WEALTH BUILDING PRINCIPLE:
Setting your financial goals puts you in charge of your money.
Either you manage your money, or the lack of it will manage you.
It is therefore important for you to set financial goals. Your goals can be short term or long term, small or large, but they all need to be God ordained and fit into his will for your life.
The first step to getting sorted is to work out where you want to be and what your priorities are.
You can consider making use of a simple GOD FOCUSED 9 STEP GOAL SETTING STRATEGY in order to reach your financial goals…
STEP 1: CONSULT GOD ABOUT YOUR PLANS
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” (Psalm 32:8)
STEP 2: DARE TO DREAM
Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when dreams come true there is life and joy” (Proverbs 13:12)
STEP 3: WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS
“And the Lord answered me and said… “ Write down the vision clearly on tablets, so that even a runner can read it.” (Habakkuk 2:2)
STEP 4: GET YOUR PRIORITIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33)
“Put first things first! Do your planning and prepare your fields before building your house.” (Proverbs 24:27)
STEP 5: DEVELOP A STRATEGIC PLAN
“Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty” (Proverbs 21:5)
STEP 6: SET UP AN EASY-TO-FOLLOW AUTOMATED SYSTEM TO HELP YOU FOLLOW THROUGH
“Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride.” (Ecclesiastes 7:8)
STEP 7: SEEK WISDOM AND ADVICE
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” (James 1:5)
“For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with it.” (Proverbs 8:11)
“…there is safety in having many advisers.” (Proverbs 11:14)
STEP 8: COMMIT YOUR PLANS TO GOD
“Commit your work to the Lord & then your plans will succeed” (Proverbs 16:3)
STEP 9: REVIEW YOUR PLAN REGULARLY
The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty. (Proverbs 27:12)
INTERESTING FACT:
There is an old saying: “HOW DO YOU EAT AN ELEPHANT?”
The answer is: “IN BITE SIZE CHUNKS!”
So…
LOOK AT THE ELEPHANT (YOUR LIFE, YOUR GOD ORDAINED PLANS, YOUR DREAMS)
- Be specific. Be realistic. Document your goals. Keep each goal simple.
- Prioritize
BREAK YOUR PLANS DOWN INTO BITE SIZE CHUNKS
- What are the smaller goals you can implement to take you from where you are to where you want to be?
- Set up a timeframe.
LOOK TO GOD AND ENSURE THAT YOUR PLANS ALIGN WITH HIS PURPOSES!
- What does God want? What needs to shift to fit in with his plans?
- Do your best. Trust in God!
“Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart’s desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you.” (Psalm 37:3-5)
TAKE ACTION
- Set up a system or action plan to help you follow through on your goals.
- Can you automate your plan?
- The easier your plan is to achieve, the greater chance you have of following through.
REVIEW YOUR GOALS
- From time to time, at regular intervals, it is important to review your progress.
- Where are you now? What is working? What is not working? What needs to change?
- Small changes to your plan every now and then can ensure that you stay on track.

And finally… DON’T FORGET TO CELEBRATE
- Celebrate when you achieve your miniature goals, knowing that this will lead you on towards your God ordained destiny.
- When you achieve a goal, thank God for helping you achieve your goals. Be grateful!
- Once you have celebrated, it is important to move on by setting yourself new goals.
“Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever” (Psalm 105:1)

POWER QUOTES OF THE WEEK:
“Don’t try to tackle too much at once. Break your goals down into smaller pieces that you reach one action at a time.” – Dave Ramsey
“Any goal can be achieved if you break it down into small enough parts.” – Brian Tracy
WHAT DOES GOD HAVE TO SAY:
Take delight in God:
“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
Trust in God, not in man:
“It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans.” (Psalm 118:8)
Follow God’s leading
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” (Psalm 19:21)
Remember that unless God is in it, your plans are useless…
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)
Know that with God at your side, you can achieve your goals…
“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)
Do you have a personal relationship with God?
God saw that we were separated from him so he sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the price for you and me on the cross, so that we can come into a relationship with Him.
You can start a walk with God, not because of what you do, but because of what Jesus did. This relationship ensures that you and I do not need to face life alone, and this relationship continues into eternity.
If you do not know Jesus as your Savior, why not invite Him to be your Lord and Savior? Give Him your life, along with your burdens and concerns.
If you want to start or restart your walk with God, click here to pray a simple prayer we have set up for you.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
LET’S PRAY:
Father, thank you for sending Jesus to rescue me.
Jesus, I ask you to be my Savior. Thank you for the price you paid on the cross for me so that I can be set free, not only during my temporary life on earth, but right into eternity.
Today I ask you to forgive me. I put my life in your hands and thank you that you are my God.
Please help me to make good choices. Today I ask you to reveal the plans that you have for me. I ask you to lead me. Today I put my hope in you. I ask this in Jesus name. Amen.
CONCLUSION:
You can set yourself up for a brighter financial future, by putting God at the center of your life, and by setting up the right stepping stones so that you achieve your God ordained financial dreams.
