Lift Up Your Eyes!
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2)
If you find yourself in trouble, you need to lift up your eyes. Look up to the mountains. Where does your help come from? Not from the mountains, but from the creator of the mountains! He is the creator of the heavens and the earth, and nothing is too hard for Him!
Today I want to share 7 simple truths from the Word of God to help you rise above your struggles:
1.) Don’t worry!
In Matthew 6:25-27, Jesus said, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”
Don’t worry. Trust in God. He knows what is up in your life, and He can make a way, even when there seems to be no way.
2.) God knows exactly what is up in your life!
In Luke 12:7, Jesus said, “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
God even knows how many hairs you have on your head. Every single area of your life is important to God. You are valuable to God.
3.) Pray about everything!
Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
If you are feeling uneasy, or if you are worried or concerned about something, pray to God. Keep praying. Petition God. Call on God. Ask God for help. And in faith, thank God for answering your prayer. God will flood your heart with His peace. He will answer your prayer. Give him your burdens. Leave the rest to God. He has your best interest at heart.
4.) Look up!
Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
Take your eyes off the problem. Be positive and look to God. Always look on the bright side of life!
5.) Don’t fear!
Isaiah 41:10 says, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
Be brave. Rise up in faith. Stand strong, knowing that God is with you and that he will hold you up.
6.) God has your back!
Psalm 23:4 says, “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.”
7.) God can fix it!
Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”
God can fix anything that is broken. Rest in Him.
So, lift up your eyes.
God can do all things.
Nothing is too difficult for Him.
No one compares to Him.
He is strong and mighty.
He is the creator, and He is the all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present God.
And this same God longs for a close walk with you.
God saw that we were separated from Him, so He sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the price for you and me on the cross, so that we can come into a relationship with Him. You can start a walk with God, not because of what you do, but because of what Jesus did. This relationship ensures that you and I do not need to face life alone, and this relationship continues into eternity.

Neema, I think of 1 Peter 5:7 where it says, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” He holds it all together, so give it all – every fear, worry and anxious thought – to him. Praying for your studies! When you put in the work and commit it to God, you’ll be okay!

God saw that you and I were separated from Him because of sin.
So, He sent His Son (Jesus) to pay the price on the cross, so that we can be forgiven and come into a relationship with Him.
You can start a walk with God, not because of what you do, but because of what Jesus did.
If you want to give your life, along with your burdens, to Jesus, simply pray this prayer with me:
Father, thank you for making a way for me by sending Jesus to rescue me. Jesus, I ask you to be my Savior. Thank you for the price you paid on the cross so that I can be set free and live under the shelter of your protection, not only during my temporary life on earth but right into eternity. Today I put my life in your hands and thank you that you are my God, my place of safety, my protector, and my provider. Lord, I ask you to please do a new work in my life. I ask this in Jesus’ name, amen.
