Call on God. He Will Answer.

If you find yourself in a tough space, you can call on God. He wants you to bother Him with your troubles.

Psalms 91:14-16…

“The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.”

God wants to protect and provide for His children. You can trust in Him. He is with you in the middle of your trouble. When you call on Him, He will answer. He wants to rescue you, even in the midst of your trouble.

Are You in Trouble? Call on Him.

If you need help today, do not try to face your battle alone. Call on God.

There is a story in the Old Testament where God’s people turned their backs on Him. They ended up oppressed under the heavy yoke of slavery in Egypt. Life was tough. They were oppressed. They got to a stage where they couldn’t take any more. And in their desperation, they cried out to God.

We are told, “The Israelites continued to groan under their burden of slavery. They cried out for help, and their cry rose up to God.” (Exodus 2:23)

And guess what happened when God’s wayward people called out to Him in desperation?

“God heard their groaning, and he remembered his covenant promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He looked down on the people of Israel and knew it was time to act.” (Exodus 2:24-25)

God sent a series of events that included raising up Moses to lead His people.

He brought plagues on the land of Egypt and even opened the Red Sea.

He delivered His people from their trouble and bondage and even closed the waters on the enemy to wipe them out.

Even though God’s people had ended up in trouble because they had let go of Him and deliberately chose a path or sin, they were delivered when they cried out to their God

Today, you can call out your God. If you have neglected your walk with God or even if you have lost your way, it is not too late to return to God.

Repent of your sin.

Turn back to God.

Call on Him.

He will come to your rescue.

You May Be Overwhelmed By Your Troubles.

Call on Him. He Will Answer.

David was in a tough place. He was anxious and fearful. Yet, at his weakest moment, he chose to call on God.

David called out to God, Listen to my prayer, O God. Do not ignore my cry for help! Please listen and answer me, for I am overwhelmed by my troubles.” (Psalms 55:1-2)

David had come to the end of himself. He was completely frazzled.

David was so overwhelmed; it seemed like he was panic-stricken.

David shared his heart with God. “Help me, Lord! My heart pounds in my chest. The terror of death assaults me. Fear and trembling overwhelm me, and I can’t stop shaking.” (Psalms 55:4-5)

He felt threatened, disillusioned, and in great danger. He said, Everything is falling apart.” (Psalms 55:11)

Can you resonate with David’s feelings?

But look at David. Even though he was utterly overwhelmed and in the middle of a perilous situation, David chose to seek God’s help.

Even in the middle of his mess, David exclaimed, But I will call on God, and the Lord will rescue me.” (Psalms 55:16)

David did not let his hopeless feelings lead him. Even though he was fearful, he chose to look to God and put his faith in God to deliver him.

David continued, Morning, noon, and night I cry out in my distress, and the Lord hears my voice. He ransoms me and keeps me safe from the battle waged against me, though many still oppose me. God, who has ruled forever, will hear me and humble them.” (Psalms 55:17-19)

David concluded, Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.” (Psalms 55:22)

My friend, today, you should not try to live life alone.

Don’t allow the complexities and trials of life to shake and paralyze you. Rather, let your troubles drive you into the arms of our loving Savior.

We were cut off from God due to sin. We were left in trouble. But God loved you and me so much that He sent Jesus to ransom your life. Jesus died on the cross. He took the nails for you and me to be set free. And, because of the finished work of Jesus, we can be reconnected to God, our Father, if we repent of our sins and put our faith in Jesus.

As a beloved Child of God, you can call on Jesus. He can rescue you, for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

This promise is for you today. Surrender your life along with your troubles to God. Call on Him.

Today, You Can Cast Your Cares on Him.

Surrender your sins, burdens, worries, and trouble into the nailed-pierced hands of Jesus.

“So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So, let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy and find grace to help us when we need it most.” (Hebrews 4:14-16)

Jesus understands what’s up in your life. He gets it. He knows the real you.

Come boldly to God’s throne of grace.

You don’t need to face your battles and stressors alone. Surrender to Him, call on Him, and ask for His help.

He answers our prayers. He rescues.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

Hold onto God.

No situation is too far gone for God.

He can fix it. He can lift you out of your trouble.

He can bring dead things back to life.

He is the way-maker.

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)

He will never fail you,” and He will never abandon you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

It is Time to Lift Your Weary Head.

Stand firm.

Yes, stand firm even in the middle of the storm.

Do it afraid if you need to, but rise above your troubles.

Look to Jesus. Surrender to Him. Don’t worry. Trust in God.

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” (Philippians 4:4-8)

Today, You Can Call on Jesus.

When you do, He will answer you. He will come to your rescue.

“The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.” (Psalms 91:14-16)

Call on God.

He hears our cry for help.

He will come to your rescue.

He has all power and authority.

He is mighty to heal, deliver, and set free.

God is with you.

He will never leave nor forsake His children.

Call on Jesus in Your Time of Need.

Jesus told us, And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)

My friend, God desires a close relationship with you.

Are you in trouble?

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Cast your care and burdens on Jesus.

Call out to Jesus

He wants you to call on Him in your trouble.

He answers us.

He delivers His children when we cry out to Him for help in our time of need.
