Life Tip: IT IS TIME

I don’t know what is going on in your life at present, but I believe that God wants me to tell you that IT IS TIME TO… (go ahead and fill in the gaps)

What is God calling you to do?

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 tells us…

“There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.”

There is an urgency. You cannot keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.

  • IT IS TIME to turn back to God.

“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” (Acts 3:19 NIV)

  • IT IS TIME for a fresh start.

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:19)

  • IT IS TIME to get up and finish what you started.

“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14 NIV)

  • IT IS TIME to stand up.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:10-12 NIV)

We are living in perilous times and it is time to stand up for what is right!

  • IT IS TIME to come back to your first love.

“But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first! Look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first.” (Revelation 2:4-5 NLT)

  • IT IS TIME to turn from lukewarmness and complacency.

“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” (Revelation 3:15-16 NIV)

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” (Revelation 3:20 NIV)

  • IT IS TIME to seek God.

“For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:8 NIV)

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.” (Jeremiah 29:11-14 NLT)

  • IT IS TIME to trust Jesus.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV)

  • IT IS TIME to put Jesus at the center.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33 NIV)

There was a problem called sin. It cut us off from God. But on the cross, Jesus paid the full price for our sins so that we can be made right with God.

God desires a close walk with you. It is time to invite Jesus to be your Lord and Savior.

Let us Pray…

Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I need you. Please forgive me, cleanse me, and save me. I know it is time to put my faith in you. Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I invite You to come into my heart and life. I ask you to be my Lord and Savior. Thank you for new life, eternal life, and abundant life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
