It is Time to Wake Up!

I feel led to share a word with you that is on my heart. It is not an easy word, but I do need to warn you that we are living in very dark days, and currently you need to carefully consider your ways and make wise choices.

In Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus warned us, “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.”

Jesus Spoke of Two Roads

  • One is easy and the other is difficult.
  • One leads to destruction and the other to eternal life.

The one thing that is sobering to me and makes me scared is that Jesus told us that MANY choose the easy road and are on the highway to hell, and only a FEW are on the narrow path that leads to eternal life.

Most of the world are on the wrong road that will lead to destruction. Only a small minority are on the right less travelled that leads to abundant life.

Which Road Are You On?

Often, we are so caught up in our daily lives that we give no thought to eternity. We often run so hard.

So many have let go of God. The current godless irrational ideologies and agendas of a select group has infiltrated media and our education system and is dead set on leading the majority off course, down a road to destruction. The philosophies of this movement are disturbing and dangerous. Without much thought, many are just following the crowd, happy to just blend in, and find themselves on a slippery slope that has eternal consequences.

My friend, consider your ways. Consider the meaning of life. Consider your purpose. Where are you heading? What road are you on?

Jesus warned us, that in the last days, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many.” (Matthew 24:4-5)

Don’t just blindly follow the crowd. Watch out that you are not deceived.

Many have let go of God. The new confusing ideologies going around are breaking down the moral fiber of society and leading many into confusion.

The other day, Piers Morgan shared that he is a believer in God, but that he is bucking the trend as latest pole show that belief in God is at its lowest level ever with only 48% of people in Australia believing in any god and that less than a third of people living in the UK even believe in any god at all.

Jesus told us this 2000 years ago when he said, “And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.” (Matthew 24:10-12)

Have you let go of God? Have you grown cold?  If so, it is time to wake up and return to God.

Jesus went on and said, “But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:13)

Watch out. Don’t be led astray.

In 2 Peter 3:3-5, it tells us, “Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”

It goes on and tells us that these people deliberately forget that God made the heavens and the earth, and that he is the inventor of life.

2 Peter 3:9-13 continues, “The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment. Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live, looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along. On that day, he will set the heavens on fire, and the elements will melt away in the flames. But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.”

What Road Are You On?

Don’t let go of God.

In 2 Timothy 3:1-5, talking about the last days it says, “You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!”

It goes on and tells us to watch out for those who “oppose the truth” for they “have depraved minds and a counterfeit faith.” (2 Timothy 3:8)

We have also been overwhelmed by a new sexual revolution. We are led to believe that anything goes. Everything goes. You can identify as whatever you want to identify as. You can do anything you want, no matter how perverted.

I am deeply disturbed by all the gender-bending and gender-blending that’s been promoted in society. Many have intentionally created confusion, let go of common sense, while distorting reality and making unnatural things that should never be done seem natural. They also silence anyone who questions their warped ideology.

So many just accept this. They just follow the crowd and have ended up on a highway to destruction.

Things that were once called evil and now accepted as good, and things that were once good are now made out to be evil.

Isaiah warned us, “What sorrow for those who say that evil is good and good is evil, that dark is light and light is dark, that bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.” (Isaiah 5:20)

Please consider your life. Consider your reality. Consider real-truth. Consider your ways.

Even a few major retail outlets are coming out in full support of these unnatural ideologies. I personally will not support these retail outlets. How can I support a company that is using part of their profits to promote a lifestyle that is leading people on the road to destruction, while breaking down the Godly fibre of society and breaking down the family unit, as God intended it to be?

God’s word warns us in Ephesians 5:3-7, “Let there be no sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among you. Such sins have no place among God’s people. Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. You can be sure that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Don’t be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the anger of God will fall on all who disobey him. Don’t participate in the things these people do.”

Ephesians 5:8-14 continues, “For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”

We Need to Wake Up.

We cannot just follow the crowd. We cannot continue to live in compromise.

There is a highway that leads to destruction. Many are on this road. There is a narrow road that leads to live. Currently there are only a few on it.

God loves all people. He calls us to return to him. We are living in evil days.

Ephesians 5:15-16 tells us, “So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.”
