Do you need help? Ask God!

Do you know that you can approach God and ask for his help?

He wants you to bother him with your problems. 

Whether you are under attack, or in a battle, or struggling to make ends meet, or just needing to get through a tough time, you can ask God to intervene. 

If you need direction, or wisdom or guidance, you can ask God for help. 

If you need breakthrough, healing, or a miracle, you approach God and ask him to bring restoration. 

He wants to help you. He wants to be part of every area of your life. 

God knows what you are facing. He knows what is around the next corner. He knows what is going on in your heart, in your home, and in your mind. He even knows what you have in your bank account. He also everything. He knows what is up. He knows what is best for you. 

When in trouble, many run from God. In the tough times, I want to encourage you to run to God. He has all power and authority. He can do all things. Nothing is too hard for him. Absolutely nothing is impossible for God. 

And, even if you must make small asks that seem trivial compared to other people’s problems, know that you can also approach God and ask him to help.

No need is too big or small. You can talk to God about anything. You can ask him for help. You don’t need to set up an appointment. He is available 24/7. He wants a close walk with you.

A close relationship with God is available because of what Jesus did on the cross for you and me. He made the way for all people to be reconnected to God. God wants to be your father. If you are not a child of God, invite Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. And immediately after you have taken this step you can approach God about everything. He wants to be part of every moment of your life, and part of every decision you need to make. 

“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” (Hebrews 4:16)

Who can come?  

Anyone can approach God. This includes you. 

How can you come?

Come boldly. 

Why go to God?

You will receive mercy and grace to help you when you need it most. 

Ask God in your time of trouble.

You do not need to face your battles, struggles, needs and problems alone. God has the answer to your question. He has the solution to your problem. He can make a way even when it looks impossible. He is the all-seeing, all-knowing, and all-powerful God, who invites us to approach Him and ask for help – both in the small mundane things of daily life, and during the tough times of crisis. 

Look at what God’s word says about approaching God and asking God for help…

Bible verses about asking God:

Below are some Bible verses about asking God to help you in your current circumstances.

God is the God of all creation and He has all power and authority in heaven and on earth. He wants you to bother Him with your problems.

You can rest in Him today.

If you don’t ask God for help, don’t expect God to help.

“You do not have because you do not ask God.” (James 4:2)

God is able to do immeasurably more than you can even imagine.

“Now to him (GOD) who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Put your faith in God. Be single minded. Don’t doubt. Ask God for revelation and wisdom. 

“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.” (James 1:5-7)

God says, “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.” (Jeremiah 33:3)

God can move mountains in your life.

Nothing is too far gone that God cannot fix. Ask God in faith to do a miracle in your situation. 

Jesus said, “Have faith in God,” “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:22-24)

Again, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.” (Matthew 21:21-22)

Ask. Seek. Knock.

Your heavenly Father gives good gifts to His children when they ask Him for help.

Jesus said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)

Jesus went on, “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” (Matthew 7:9-11)

Again, Jesus said, “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” (John 15:7)

Make sure your prayers align with God’s purposes, plans and His will. 

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” (1 John 5:14-15)

How do you ask God for help?

Pray to God our Father. Ask for His help in Jesus’ name!

Jesus said, “You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!” (John 14:13-14)

Jesus also told us, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” (John 15:16)

Jesus also told us, “You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.” (John 16:24)

Don’t worry about anything. Pray about everything. You can know the peace of God in all circumstances. 

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

God answers prayers. 

God hears our cries for help. He answers prayers. 

Please remember that sometimes God’s answer is YES. Sometimes He says NO. Sometimes He says, WAIT. 

God knows what is up. He knows what the future holds. He has your best interests at heart. Sometimes he will say NO or WAIT because he has something better in store for you. Hold onto God. Share your burdens and your dreams with him. Ask him for help. He wants to do life with you. 

God has the answer. He has the solution. 

He can do the impossible. He sees all. He knows all.

He has all the power.

Pray. Ask. Seek. Keep knocking.
