What are you planting?
Be careful what you plant. It will grow and will be multiplied back to you.
In Luke 6:37-38 Jesus said, “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
This principle from Jesus is great when it comes to blessing others, offering forgiveness, and even with your money management.
When you give, it will come back in abundance. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and rolling over.
The same measure you use in giving will come back multiplied over.
If you live a life of being generous, and are loving, kind and merciful, you will be blessed beyond your wildest imagination. You will live THE BLESSED LIFE.
But watch out! The opposite is also true.
When you judge and condemn others, the judgement and condemnation will come back in full force, multiplied over.
And, if you choose to hold onto unforgiveness, it can ruin you. It will come back to you rolling over!
Galatians 6:7 says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”
You will harvest what you plant.
If you plant an apple seed, what will you get?
Not just apples, but a whole apple tree.
One tiny seed can produce a tree that will produce many apples each season.
What are you sowing into your life?
You will always harvest what you plant.
Plant a good seed and you will reap a good harvest.
Plant rubbish and you will harvest a junkyard.
If you plant love, mercy, grace and blessing, you will have it come back in abundance, but if you plant judgement, anger, resentment and unforgiveness, you will harvest a poisoned life.
“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!” (Deuteronomy 30:19)
Make wise choices. Choose life. Choose blessing. Do good whenever you can.
Jesus summed it up well when he said, “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 7:12)
So, do to others whatever you would like them to do to you.
Love. Show mercy. Be kind. Be generous. Be a blessing, and it will come back in abundance, multiplied over.
