Regardless of your past financial decisions and lifestyle choices, it’s never too late to guide your children toward making Godly life choices and good financial decisions. As a parent, you have the power to shape your children’s future.

Start today and set them on the path to a godly and successful life.

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)

I want to encourage you to teach your children to…

  • Put God first and live a life that pleases God
  • Save before you spend
  • Stay away from unnecessary debt
  • Live within their means
  • Understand the value of money and the cost of living
  • Be patient and not to make rash decisions that can cause much pain and heartache
  • To not be greedy but generous, knowing there is more to life than money
  • Encourage your children to dream, to have a vision, and a financial plan for the future
  • Build good habits and follow through

If you can teach your child to give 10c out of every 100c they get to God, you will teach them to be generous when they are older.

How will your children learn to stay out of debt and invest for the future unless you train them?

If you can get your children to invest 20c to 30c out of every 100c they receive when they are young, they can build a wealth portfolio when they are older.

If you engrain good habits and principles in your children when they are young, you can prepare them to be wise and responsible and to thrive in the future.

Help your children avoid making the same mistakes you made. Can you warn them of the pitfalls and help them make better choices than you possibly did in your younger years?

Share the times you made good decisions and encourage them to do the same.

Also, train your children to put God first.

Make a habit of reading the Bible and praying as a family.

Talk to your children about life decisions and financial choices.

How can you expect your child to follow God if you don’t share the good news with them and encourage them to walk with God when they are young?

How can you expect your child to make wise financial decisions if you don’t train them in money management when they are young?

An inheritance obtained too early in life is not a blessing in the end.” (Proverbs 20:21)

Even if you have made mistakes in your life, you can help your children avoid making the same mistakes you did by training them well.

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4)

Are you training your children to make good choices? If not, start today.

As a parent, you hold the power to shape your children’s future.

By instilling in them the wisdom of God and the principles of sound money management, you can pave the way for a prosperous and fulfilling life for them. Start today and see the difference it can make!
