You Are Loved: Understanding God’s Love for You

Do you realize how much God loves you? Many of us have been told that God loves us, but we don’t actually know it in our hearts. When you understand the greatness of God’s love for you, the power of the cross, the weight of Jesus’ sacrifice for your sins, and the power of God, you will never be the same. I pray that God gives you a fresh revelation of His love and grace.

The Love of God

Do you realize how much God loves you? Well, let me tell you the greatest love story ever told… the story of God’s love.

For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but will have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

All have sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his gracious kindness, declares us not guilty in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.” (Romans 3:23-24)

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

The Power of God

If you actually knew how powerful God is, you would live very differently from how you do currently. He has all power and authority. God can do all things. Nothing is too hard for Him.

Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale?” (Isaiah 40:12)

All the nations of the world are but a drop in the bucket. They are nothing more than dust on the scales. He picks up the whole earth as though it were a grain of sand.” (Isaiah 40:15)

To whom can you compare God?” (Isaiah 40:18)

Jesus

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to our dark and broken world with one mission: to rescue mankind. He lived a perfect life, paid the full price for our sins on the cross, and then rose again, conquering death and the grave. Jesus is the Savior of the world—Who is Jesus to you?

She will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21)

But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
