Get Rid of Time-Wasters, Upskill Yourself, and Look for Extra Opportunities to Earn Extra Income

get in the zone

We all have 24 hours in a day. While some use their time constructively, many squander their time on watching TV and scrolling through social media.

Yes, it is important to rest and take time out for yourself, but if you are battling to make ends meet like many are, can you…

  • Eliminate the time-wasters,
  • Use the extra time to upskill yourself and
  • Investigate opportunities where you can earn more income?

If you are looking to build up your wealth or improve your cash flow, can you possibly find a way to generate another income stream?

Examine your time.

  • How much time do you waste each day?
  • Can you possibly free up time and use it wisely to learn something new or research business opportunities?
  • Can you learn a few new skills that can help you to earn more money?

Jesus told us, Seek, and you will find.” (Matthew 7:7)

I know he was referring to looking to him, and this is an important starting point—put God first! Live for him. Trust him. Stay connected to Jesus.

Seek God. When you do, you will find him. But also look for opportunities.

Seek… Look… and you will find!

God is in control. He knows what is happening. Look to God. According to the Bible, God can give you the ability to open doors of opportunity to generate wealth.

If you take time to upskill yourself and keep your eyes open, intentionally looking for new income-earning opportunities, you will find new ideas and options.

What are your passions?

What are your skills or talents?

Can you sell something?

Can you provide a service?

How can you make a positive difference to others?

How can you make other people’s lives easier?

What solutions can you provide to other people’s problems?

I am sure that if you…

  • Eliminate the time-wasters,
  • Intentionally spend time looking for new opportunities,
  • Take time to upskill yourself and learn something new…

that…

  • New opportunities will arise,
  • You will be able to build new income streams.

Lastly, once you start to earn extra income, I implore you to use this money wisely. Get your priorities straight…

  1. Don’t forget to give your first fruits to God.

Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.” (Proverbs 3:9-10)

  1. Take part of your profits and ensure you invest it before you are tempted to spend it (By turning your extra income into assets, you can build passive income and work towards financial freedom).

The wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends whatever he gets.” (Proverbs 21:20)

He who gathers money little by little makes it grow.” (Proverbs 13:11)

  1. Be wise with you’re the rest of your money (pay off your debt, be a person of excellence, live within your means, and be a blessing)

The earnings of the godly enhance their lives, but evil people squander their money on sin.” (Proverbs 10:16)

“Give freely and earn even more; be stingy and lose everything. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.” (Proverbs 11:24-25)

Get rid of the time wasters.

Upskill yourself

Look out opportunities

And don’t forget to commit your plans to God. He wants to walk the journey with you.

I am sure you can start a new side hustle, start a business, and build new income streams in the year ahead if you intentionally develop your skills and look out for creative ideas.
