Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

To manage your money like a pro, you need to…
- Wipe out your debt
- Dare to dream and have goals and a vision for the future
- Get your priorities in order
- Create a financial plan that you can stick to in order to build toward financial freedom
If you want to manage your money well, you need to know where your hard-earned money is going. A good starting point is to create a budget.
“Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.” (Proverbs 21:5)
By creating a budget, you can review your income (what comes IN) against your expenses (what flows OUT).
Pros manage their money well…
They spend less than they earn, work hard to be successful, are disciplined, and watch their spending closely.
They live within their means and aim to win the financial game.
Pros prioritize by putting first things first and are prepared to take a little short-term pain to reap some long-term rewards.
Over the next few weeks, I want to unpack the importance of budgeting and share a simple formula that can help you MANAGE YOUR MONEY LIKE A PRO. It’s called the 10:20:70 PRINCIPLE…
The 10:20:70 Principle in a Nutshell…
Managing your money like a PRO consists of three simple steps …
Over the next few weeks, we will unpack each component on the 10-20-70 PRINCIPLE.
Make a Start…
I want to encourage you to start getting your financial priorities in the correct order.
Sticking to the 10-20-70 PRO PRINCIPLE may seem out of reach.
You may say, “Clinton, are you crazy? I can’t even cover my regular monthly expenses out of 100% of my income, but you are asking me to give 10% upfront to God and put 20% into your savings and investments!”
This may seem impossible, but can you make a start?
Can you review your budget?
Can you start by giving 1% of your income to God and putting 2% into your savings, and then build on this over time?
You can start slowly and grow into managing your money like a PRO over time.
Review your priorities. Pray about it. Seek advice. Set up a plan.
Building your budget may take some time, but I promise you that if you make MANAGING YOUR MONEY LIKE A PRO a priority and form some new good habits, you will get your financial affairs in order and set yourself up for a brighter and more blessed future.
By sticking to a 10-20-70 PRINCIPLE, you will…
- Honor God
- Build up a Wealth Portfolio
- Learn to live a contented life
- Lead to a life of financial freedom
You can manage your money like a Pro.
And, if you want to manage your life well, I encourage you to invite Jesus to be the CEO of your life.
Jesus said, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)
