Life Tip: Our Big God

God is limitless: He has all power and authority in heaven and on earth.

Do you know how big God is? 

We are told, “Who else has held the oceans in his hand? Who has measured off the heavens with his fingers? Who else knows the weight of the earth or has weighed the mountains and hills on a scale?” (Isaiah 40:12)

God is super huge. He knows all and is all-powerful. Yet, we are super small. 

“All the nations of the world are but a drop in the bucket. They are nothing more than dust on the scales. He picks up the whole earth as though it were a grain of sand.” (Isaiah 40:15)

It goes on, “God sits above the circle of the earth. The people below seem like grasshoppers to him! He spreads out the heavens like a curtain and makes his tent from them.” (Isaiah 40:22)

Who can compare to God?

“To whom will you compare me? Who is my equal?” asks the Holy One. Look up into the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of his great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.” (Isaiah 40:25-26)

Even though God is limitless, and we are so insignificant, he loves you and cares deeply about you.

“The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.” (Isaiah 40:28-29)

 God knows you through-and-through. He understands you. He wants you to bother him with your problems. He offers strength to the weak. 

“Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:30-31)

Just to give you another picture of the greatness of God, look at this…

“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is SUPREME over ALL creation.” (Colossians 1:15)

God has no limits. He is supreme. He has the highest authority. He is above all. He can do all things. Nothing is too difficult for Him.

“I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27)

He knows what is happening in your life. He has the solution. 

God also loves you, and he made a way for all people to come into a relationship with him, a walk that can start today and go into eternity.

So, let’s sum this up: If God…

• Is super huge. All-powerful. All-knowing and limitless,
• Cares about you,
• Has the solution, and  
• Wants a close walk with you…

Then why wouldn’t you want God to take the central part of your life?

There was a problem called sin. It cut us off from God. But on the cross, Jesus paid the full price for our mess-ups to make us right with God.

Because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross, your life can be healed, and you can be reconnected to God. 

God is limitless. He can fix anything that is broken. He knows what is up in your life and has all the power and authority to bring breakthroughs and change. He also wants to do life with you.

Today, if you are not in a relationship with God, what are you waiting for?

God is limitless. He is supreme. He is God. He is all-powerful. He cares about you. He wants the best for you. He wants to help you through life. He wants a close walk with you. Call on Jesus. Invite Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. You can put your trust in him.

Dear Lord Jesus, I need you. I know that I am lost and that I have sinned. I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
