Money Management: Needs and Wants

If you want to manage your money well, you will need to differentiate between your “wants” and your “needs”.

Every time you buy something, ask yourself, “Is this a want, or is this a need?”

If it is a necessity, then buy it! But if it is just a “nice to have” that you can live without, then rather don’t buy it.

Rather, think it over!

Sometimes, we buy things without thinking. Take a step back and assess whether buying that item is going to add to your long-term happiness or if the purchase will be a waste of money. And please do not create extra debt by buying something you don’t really need or don’t even really want! Extra debt, especially on useless “stuff,” will just add unnecessary stress to your life.

“You say, “I am allowed to do anything” -but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything” -but not everything is beneficial.” (1 Corinthians 10:23)

Is it worth it?

Is it better to hold off and save up for it?
