PEOPLE MATTER TO GOD – You matter to God!
“I am the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 32:27)
God is the God of ALL people. This includes you!
He is the inventor of life. He made you one of a kind. He knows you intimately.
Psalm 139:1-4 confirms this…
“You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.”
God created you. He knit you together in your mother’s womb. God made you and he does not make junk!
Psalm 139:13-15 continues, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.”
God made you with a purpose and a plan. He made you with a destiny to fulfil. You are always on God’s mind. His thoughts about you are innumerable. And he is always looking over you.
Psalm 139:16-17 says, “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you.”
God made you unique. You are always on God’s mind.
Genesis 18:14 asks, “Is anything too hard for the LORD?”
No, nothing is too hard for God.
God is SUPER HUGE. He has NO limits. He has unlimited resources. He is all powerful. Nothing is impossible for Him. And nothing, absolutely nothing is too difficult for Him!
No situation is so far gone that God cannot fix. No person is so far gone that God cannot save and restore.
God could have chosen to live anywhere, but he chose the heart of man.
We were flawed. We were cut off from our Holy God, but the Good News is that God set up a plan to make a way for sinful man to get reconnected to God.
Jesus came. He died on the cross. He shed His blood to pay for our sins, so that we can be connected to God. He paid a high price with his life because people matter to God. You matter to God!
He does not want anyone to perish but He wants all mankind to have an eternal relationship with him.

You may have messed up. There is a WAY OUT.
You may tell others that you are fine, but inside you may be broken and falling apart.
You may be saying “What is the point? What is the purpose? What is the meaning of life?
You may feel hopeless. I have good news for you. There is HOPE in Jesus.
Your sin may have cut you off but there is a loving God who wants to WASH YOU CLEAN and FORGIVE YOU.
You may have fallen, and you may not know how to get back up. There is a loving God who cares for you. He wants to LIFT YOU UP OUT of your despair.
Maybe you feel enslaved and chained. There is a CHAIN BREAKER who offers a way out!
Maybe you feel like you are drowning, unaware that there is a SAVIOUR.
No matter how bad you have been.
No matter how you have messed up.
No matter where you come from.
Irrespective of the current bondages and condition, people matter to God. You matter to God!
God loves people! He loves you!
GOD HAS A PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:11-12)
JESUS CAME TO BRING YOU LIFE
Jesus told us that “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it in abundance” (John 10:10)
JESUS CAME TO SET THE CAPTIVE FREE
Jesus told us that, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners, and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4:18-19)
Jesus came to bring good news. He came to set captives free. He came to heal, to deliver, and to set the captive free. He is the way-maker. He brings breakthrough and restoration.
ARE YOU WEARY? COME TO JESUS
Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
CAST YOUR CARES ON JESUS
“Cast your cares on the LORD and He will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” (Psalm 55:22)
“Cast all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].” (1 Peter 5:7)
DON’T WORRY. PRAY!
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
Don’t worry about anything. Rather pray about everything. Surrender your burdens and anxieties to God.
ASK GOD TO HELP YOU
Jesus said, “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)
Call on Jesus. Ask Him to intervene. He can make a way.
Jesus continued, “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.” (Matthew 7:9-11)
I have four sons. I want the best for my boys. But I am limited. I make mistakes. I will let my sons down from time to time. But God will never let His children down. God is limitless. He has all power and authority. He gives good gifts to those who ask Him for help.
If you are broken or battered or bewildered, cry out to God and ask Him to intervene in your life.
DRAW NEAR TO GOD
“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” (James 4:8)
When you draw close to God, He will come near to you too!
WAIT ON GOD
“Those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
So wait on God! Seek him!
HOW DESPERATE ARE YOU FOR A BREAKTHROUGH?
God’s Word tells us that, “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
How desperate are you for breakthrough? God can heal your life. He can restore your marriage. He can deliver you from that bondage. He can set you free. He can revive your life. He can restore.
Are you prepared to …
- HUMBLE YOURSELF BEFORE GOD (bow down to God and lift Him high),
- PRAY (call on God and wait on Him),
- SEEK GOD’S FACE (not His hand’s, but seek God and worship Him as your God),
- TURN FROM YOUR WICKED WAYS (sin)
When you do, God’s word tells us that …
- HE WILL HEAR OUR PRAYERS,
- HE WILL FORGIVE OUR SINS, AND
- HE WILL RESTORE OUR LIVES AND LAND.
God can bring healing, deliverance, and breakthrough. He is the God who cares. He is the One who restores and brings revival.
THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN…
No matter how bad you have been. No matter how you have messed up. No matter where you come from and irrespective of your current bondages and heartaches, you matter to God.
God is your God. He is the God of all mankind, and nothing is too hard for Him.
PEOPLE MATTER TO GOD & GOD CAN CHANGE PEOPLE’S LIVES FOR THE GOOD!
God loves you.
The world is dark and dreary. You may be lost, empty and living in bondage. You may be haunted by sin and full of fear.
There is hope.
You may be drifting aimlessly through this temporary fragile short life, giving no thought to your eternity.
THE SOLUTION
His name is JESUS.
Jesus paid a price for sin, so that you and I can have life. He is The Saviour!
He is the God of ALL mankind. Nothing is too difficult for him.
He can fix what is broken.
He loves people.
He is a friend of sinners.
He offers new life, abundant life, eternal life.
He offers peace, hope and forgiveness.
Jesus said that he came to “seek and save the lost.” (Luke 19:10)
Jesus saves.
He still heals.
He still sets free.
No matter how bad things are. No matter how far you have fallen, there is hope in Jesus.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
We all have missed the mark and we all fall short of God’s standard. We are fragile. Flawed. Sin cuts us off from God.
Sin leads to death.
“The wages of sin is death, BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
God offers you the FREE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE, paid for by Jesus, when he shed his blood for messed up man. Why? Because ALL people matter to God.
Jesus Christ is the Saviour of the world. He came as part of Gods plan to save mankind. Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for our sin so that we can have a relationship with God, a relationship that can start today and continue right on into eternity.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son (JESUS), that whoever believes in him (PUTS THEIR FAITH/CONFIDENCE IN HIM) shall not perish (WILL NOT DIE AND SPEND ETERNITY IN HELL) but have eternal life (WITH GOD IN HIS KINGDOM). For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:16-170
If you are drowning, call on Jesus. He is your Saviour.
JESUS HAS PROMISED HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU
Jesus said, “I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” (Matthew 28:20)
