GOD. LIFE. MONEY.
TRUST GOD
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
HAVE A CLEAR VISION
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18)
HAVE A STRATEGIC PLAN
“Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity. Hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.” (Proverbs 21:5)
COMMIT YOUR PLANS TO GOD
“Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” (Proverbs 16:30)
MANAGE YOUR MONEY WELL
- Make good decisions
“A wise person chooses the right road; a fool takes the wrong one.” (Ecclesiastes 10:2)
- Use your money wisely
“The earnings of the godly enhance their lives, but evil people squander their money on sin.” (Proverbs 10:16)
- Get your priorities in the right order
“Do your planning and prepare your fields before building your house.” (Proverbs 24:27)
- Stay away from bad debt
“The borrower is a slave to the lender.” (Proverbs 22:7)
- Build a contingency fund
“Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter.” (Proverbs 6:6-8)
- Save before you spend
“The wise man saves for the future. The foolish man spends whatever he gets.” (Proverbs 21:20)
- Practice self-control
“Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.” (Proverbs 25:28)
- Stay away from get-rich-quick schemes
Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time. (Proverbs 13:11)
- Invest over the longer term where you can benefit from compounding
“Whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.” (Proverbs 13:11)
- Diversify. Don’t keep all your eggs in one basket
“Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return. Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.” (Ecclesiastes 11:1-2)
- Get advice
“Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success.” (Proverbs 15:22)
- Don’t be lazy
“Lazy people are soon poor; hard workers get rich.” (Proverbs 10:4)
- Train your children well
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
HONOR GOD AND BE GENEROUS
“Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.” (Proverbs 3:9-10)
“Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.” (Proverbs 11:24-25)
“Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor.” (Proverbs 22:9)
BUILD GENERATIONAL WEALTH – LEAVE A LEGACY
“Be sure you know the condition of your flocks.” (Proverbs 27:23)
“Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death.” (Proverbs 11:4)
“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.” (Proverbs 13:22)
FINISH STRONG
“Riches won’t help on the day of judgment.” (Proverbs 11:4)
