What Are You Looking At?
It’s understandable to feel despondent in these crazy times, but I urge you to keep your head up, even when everything seems to be falling down. Don’t give up! Don’t give in. Remember, there is always hope in God.
Who Do You Look to in Times of Trouble?
In the midst of your mess, remember that God has the power to take your messes and mistakes and transform them into miracles.

“The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.” (Nahum 1:7)
Look to God.
“I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth!” (Psalms 121:1-2)
Don’t look to the mountains. Look to the creator of the mountains. Your help comes from God. He made the mountains. And, He can move mountains!
Set your sights on Jesus.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)
You can get your life right with your maker.
Surrender your life to Jesus.
Give Him your burdens.
Confess your sins to him.
He paid the full price for your sins and shortcomings on the cross so that we can be forgiven, know His peace, and find abundant life.
He wants to wash, cleanse, forgive, and set you free. He wants to do life with you. He wants to rescue you and protect you.
When you turn from your old way of living, you can turn to Jesus. You can put your faith in Him.
Love God. Trust him.
“The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them my salvation.” (Psalm 91:14-16)
If you are not in a relationship with God, please invite Jesus Christ into your life to be your Lord and Savior…
We were cut off from God due to our sins, but Jesus paid the full price on the cross so that we could be reconnected to God. God loves you so much that He made a way for you to become part of his family. He wants to share forever with you.
“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name (Jesus), he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)
You can start or restart your walk with God as His beloved child. What are you waiting for?
Prayer…
Dear Heavenly Father,
Today, I surrender my life to you. I also ask you to free me from debt, protect me, and lead me. I give you my life along with my burdens and failures. Lord Jesus, I ask you to be my Savior. Be the central part of my life. Today, I acknowledge that I need you. Lord, I put my life in your hands and want to please you in all I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God rescues those who love Him and protects those who trust in His name. With Jesus at the center, you can face tomorrow. No matter how dark and crazy your life is, you can look to Jesus. Strip off the weights. Let go of all that entangles. Set your sights on Jesus. He is your refuge. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
You can be sure of this:
Jesus said, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)
Now, let this sink in.
God is with you. He will never abandon you, leave you, or forsake you. Don’t face your troubles alone. Look to Jesus. Love Him and trust Him. He’s got it!
