Life Tip: Listen to Jesus
Jesus can make a way even when there seems to be no way, so listen to him and follow his lead. He may just lead you to find a solution to your problem…
When Jesus came to Capernaum, he and Peter, who was one of his disciples, needed to pay their Temple tax, but they didn’t have the cash on them.
Do you know what Jesus did?
Jesus told Peter to go fish.
Now, Peter was an experienced fisherman, but he would never have expected Jesus to provide for their need in the manner that he did.
Jesus told Peter, “Go down to the lake and throw in a line. Open the mouth of the first fish you catch, and you will find a large silver coin. Take it and pay the tax for both of us.” (Matthew 17:27 NLT)
Peter had caught many fish in his lifetime, but he had never caught one with a silver coin in its mouth. And what’s more, this was exactly what Jesus and Peter needed to settle their tax bill.
If you are struggling to make ends meet or if you have a problem, I need you to know that God can provide a way out. Follow his wisdom. Manage your money well. But, if you are in a pickle, ask God to help you. Jesus can still provide that “silver coin” in your time of need.

So, if you are in a battle or facing a tough situation, turn to Jesus. Ask him for his assistance. He can make a way, even if there seems to be no way.
God’s word tells us…
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
God can even “do a new thing.” He can make “a way in the wilderness,” and he can even make “rivers flow in the desert.” (Isaiah 32:19)
God will never let you down. Hold onto him. Seek him. Trust him.
If you are not in a relationship with God, why not surrender your life to God and put your trust in him?
God loves you, and he made a way for all people to come into a relationship with him, a walk that can start today and go right into eternity.
There was a problem. We were cut off from God because of sin. But God sent his Son, Jesus, and he paid the full price for our mess-ups on the cross so that we can be made right with God.
Today, turn to God. Give him your life. Make Jesus your Lord. Ask him to be your Savior. Trust him.
If you are not in a relationship with God, what are you waiting for? Call on Jesus. Today, you can put your trust in God.

Dear Lord Jesus, I need you. I know that I am lost and that I have sinned. I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
