You are valuable to God.

person sitting on rock on body of water

I need to tell you that your life is precious to God. You are valuable to him.

You may feel like a failure. You may feel like your life is a big mess, but God made you to be alive at this time. He has a plan and a purpose for your life.

Up until now, your life may have been filled with guilt and shame. You may have made poor choices that have caused much pain and torment, but I need you to know that no matter what you are going through and no matter what you have done, you are valuable to God

It is not how you start the journey but how you finish the race.

Know this: No matter your past, if Jesus is your Lord and Savior, your best days are ahead.

You are one-of-a-kind.

God made you one-of-a-kind. There is no one quite like you. You are not a copy of someone else. You are unique, with particular traits and talents that no one else has. You are not only one in a million, and you are one in 8 billion. No one is quite like you. You are one of a kind.

God’s word says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” (Jeremiah 1:5)

God made you. He made you on purpose, with a destiny to fulfill. Until now, your life may have been filled with hurt and regret, but deep inside, you have so much value. Maybe you can’t see it, but it’s there. I pray this will be revealed and developed so you can live a life of purpose and passion.

If you have never realized how precious you are to God, let me show you how God sees you.

To illustrate how much God loves you and how precious each individual is to God, I want to share what David says about this in Psalm 139:13-18

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God!  How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you.

You are so precious to God.

Whether your mother and father planned for you or not, God made you. You are so precious to God. He made you wonderfully complex. He knit you together in your mother’s womb. He made you to be alive at this time in history.

If you are troubled or going through a crazy time, I need to tell you that there is hope. Don’t give up. Don’t give in. Your life has value to God.

God made you, and he doesn’t make junk!

According to God’s word, where does life begin?

In the womb.

According to God’s word, who made you?

God.

Also, contrary to what many say, all life begins in the womb. And God made you uniquely complex, with specific features, particular quirks, and amazing talents.

It is so important to find out what your purpose is, or you may go through the motions in life.

I implore you to draw near to your creator and to seek his will for your life. He made you with a unique destiny to fulfill.

To add, God even recorded every one of your days before you were born in his book. He has a massive plan for your life.

All life matters.

That includes every baby and every person, whether you come from the uttermost or uppermost part of society. All life is precious to God. That includes you.

You may be broken. You may want to give up. You may be contemplating suicide. You may be planning to terminate your pregnancy. If you are contemplating having an abortion, I ask you to consider your options seriously. Please consider your life. All life matters to God. You matter to God.

Trust God. He can cause everything to work out okay.

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Romans 8:28)

You have a purpose.

You may say, “What’s the point?”

You may be battling to find your place in this world.

You may have taken so many hard knocks that you are disillusioned with life.

My friend, don’t give up. Don’t give in. Call on God. Cry out to him. Ask him to resurrect your life. Give him your burdens and disappointments. Give him your cares and anxieties. He wants you to bother him with your problems. He loves you. He has a plan and a purpose for your life. You are so precious to God.

And remember that there is more to life than just the here and now. God made you to live forever. One day, your heart will stop beating. Your body will return to dust, but God made you to live forever.

In fact, the Bible tells us that life on earth is only a small part of your eternal existence.

Look at what Psalm 39 says, “Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is. You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath.” (Psalms 39:4-5)

A few tough years or a crazy tragedy does not have to define your eternity. You were made to live forever.

Now, Jesus spoke a lot about eternity. He spoke about how we all will one day stand before God and that we will either spend eternity in God’s Kingdom, where we will know peace and purpose without the chaos we experience on earth or that we will be separated from God for all eternity in a place called hell, where there will be no peace but continual pain and torment.

Don’t let go of God. And don’t give up on your life. Hold on. Persevere. Be patient. Stay positive. Look on the bright side of life.

Seek God. Ask him to help you discover your purpose. You can rediscover your vision, and you can begin again.

God wants you to be fruitful.

God made every living person, including every baby and you, in his image. He made all people with a purpose, including you.

God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” (Genesis 1:26)

God made people rule, govern, and make a positive difference in the world.

No matter how crazy your life has been up until now, know that God wants to bless you and help you live with purpose and passion.

When God created Adam and Eve, we are told that “God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (Genesis 1:28)

God wants you to be fruitful.

So many have pierced themselves with grief by making bad decisions. However, even if you have messed up. God wants to pour out his mercy and grace. There is forgiveness available for you.

You may have been the victim of a terrible tragedy. Don’t allow what the enemy meant for evil to define your future. God can heal your life.

Jesus told us, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” (John 10:10)

Jesus came to set the captive free. He came to heal the broken-hearted. He came to bring abundant life. He came to seek and save the lost.

Don’t throw in the towel. Don’t accept the past as your lot in life. Rise above the chaos.

Don’t allow your past mistakes to define your life. If you have messed up, come clean. Repent. You can start afresh. God forgives. He can cleanse your past.

We are told, “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” (1 John 1:9 NLT)

God can turn your mourning into dancing. He can cause your heart to beat again.

“Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.” (Psalms 34:10)

Some have a warped picture of God.

They think he wants to ruin people’s lives. Nothing could be further from the truth. Jesus came not to condemn you but to save you. While the enemy comes to cause destruction, Jesus came to bring you an abundant life.

If you messed up, you can come boldly to God’s throne of grace.

“So, let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” (Hebrews 4:16)

God made you one-of-a-kind. Your parents may not have chosen you, but God chose you to be alive at this time.

Even if you have taken a few hard knocks, remember there is hope in God. He can bring purpose and meaning to your life. Seek him. Surrender to him. Give him your burdens. He can restore your life.

It is not over until God says it’s over.

The banknote.

If I have $100 and I crumple it up, is it worth less?

No.

And, if I stomp on it, is the value diminished?

No.

The $100 holds its value where it is dirty, torn, crumpled, or stomped on.

In the same way, your value is not defined by how dirty or torn you are.

Your value is defined by your creator.

No matter how you have been stomped on or crumpled, your life is precious to God, and you have value.

Do you realize how valuable you are to God?

Jesus told us, “Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?” (Matthew 6:26)

You are so valuable to God.

Jesus also told us, “What is the price of two sparrows—one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” (Matthew 10:29-31)

You are precious to God. God knows everything about you. Not only does he know how many hairs you are in your head, but he also knows your dreams and desires, fears and failures.

He knows the real you, and he loves you so much.

God has a plan for your life.

In the times of Jeremiah, God’s people had let go of God. They ended up in bondage. They thought they were beyond repair. They thought there was no way out of their captivity.

But God told his wayward, messed up people, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.” (Jeremiah 29:11-14)

And God doesn’t show favoritism. He has a good plan for your life. It is a plan to prosper you, not to harm you, but to give you hope and a future. God wants to end your captivity. He wants to restore your life.

I hope you are beginning to see how valuable you are to God.

God can restore your life.

To help you understand how special you are to God, I want to show you one more truth…

Jesus gave his life on the cross and paid the full price for your sins and bondages so you can go free. He came to rescue you. That is how valuable and how precious you are to God.

If your life has seemed worthless and meaningless, you can start over. Even if you feel inadequate, God can lift you up and catapult you into your destiny.

You may have been humiliated or been a victim of being treated poorly, which left you feeling shameful. God can fix your broken life.

You may have made bad choices or got involved in something terrible that wrecked your life. God can resurrect your life.

Your past failures, mistakes, or experiences may still haunt you today, but they do not need to define your future.

Even if you have faced a traumatic event from your past that has left you feeling shattered, God can put you back together. He is mighty to save, heal, deliver, and set you free. He can restore your life. He can make a way, even when it seems like you are too far gone.

Today, you may feel like trash. God can make all things new.

Even if you have sinned, you can find complete forgiveness and a new beginning

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NIV)

You cannot tell me your life is not valuable to God when he sent his Son to die on the cross in our place so that we can be set free and find new life.

Do you realize how precious you are to God? You were bought at a high price.

“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.“ (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)

GOD MADE YOU ON PURPOSE.

GOD MADE YOU WITH PURPOSE.

YOU HAVE A DESTINY TO FULFILL.

GOD MADE YOU ONE-OF-A-KIND.

THERE IS NO ONE QUITE LIKE YOU.

YOUR LIFE IS SO PRECIOUS TO GOD.

YOU ARE VALUABLE.

GOD HAS A PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE, EVEN IF YOU HAVE MESSED UP.

GOD LOVES YOU SO MUCH THAT ALTHOUGH WE FELL SHORT, HE SENT JESUS TO SAVE YOU.

Give Jesus your life. Accept his free gift of life.

It is time to start afresh. Shake off the past along with its shame and sin. Lift up your head. Step forward into the light of God, into your new life. You are valuable to God. A new adventure awaits. With God, your best days are ahead of you.

  2. This has been life-changing for me. My mom has always told me that I wouldn’t make it and that I’m a failure. But reading this by accident has lifted me up and made me feel renewed. It helped me put the past behind and focus on honoring God, knowing He has a greater plan for me. I’m choosing to ignore my mom’s hurtful words and embrace the truth that “even when my mom and dad do not choose me, GOD chose me for a reason, and I am one of a kind.” Reading that made my heart beat with hope and reminded me that I can be renewed again. Thank you for sharing this.
