Life Tip: Don’t Put Your Hope in Money

Don’t put your hope in money; rather, put your hope in God.

Money does not fix everything. Yes, debt causes stress, but a lot of money may lead you astray.

King Solomon said, “O God, give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs. For if I grow rich, I may deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” And if I am too poor, I may steal and thus insult God’s holy name.” (Proverbs 30:8-9)

Money may buy you a lot of “stuff”, but money cannot save you.

Jesus said, “What do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul?” (Matthew 16:26)

Many spend their lives chasing money. Remember that one day, you will die, and you cannot take it with you.

On the day of judgment, it will not matter if you have loads of money or nothing at all.

The Bible says, “Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death.” (Proverbs 11:4)

So don’t trust in money.

We are told, “Trust in your money and down you go! But the godly flourish like leaves in spring.” (Proverbs 11:28)

Trust in God. You may have messed up. Repent. Get right with God and move forward.

Paul said, “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:13-14)

It is your time to forget your past, to set your sights on Jesus, and to press on forward.

I want to encourage you not to put your hope in money but to put your hope in Jesus. Draw near to God and surrender your life into his hands. You can place your hopes and future in Him.

Invite Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. He is the all-powerful, invincible, and all-knowing God. Give him your fears and your future.

On the cross, Jesus paid the full price for our sins so that we could be made right with God. Today, put your trust in him.

If this is for you, you can pray to start a new walk with God…

Dear Lord Jesus, I need you. I surrender my life to you. Lord, please forgive me and cleanse me. Please fill me. Lord Jesus, I believe that You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I put my faith in you. Thank you that you are my God and that today, you accept me as your beloved child. Thank you that you are my Lord and Savior. Thank you for new life, eternal life, and abundant life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
