God can…

God can bring light into your darkness. He can brighten up your dull world. He can make something beautiful out of nothing. He can fix what is broken. He can even move the mountains. God can make all things new. God can do miracles. He can make a way, even when there seems to be no way.

God can…

In the beginning, before the earn was created, when everything was lifeless, empty, and dark, God was there. He brought light into a black mass of nothingness and turned a void into something spectacular.

Genesis 1:1-3 says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.”

God created…

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)

God created the world. He made the universe. He designed the planet. God can do all things. He is the inventor of life. He made the heavens and the earth. Nothing is too difficult for God.

Your life may be in a mess. God can make all things new. He can create something magnificent out of your mess. He can make a way in your life.

God is “able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ask or imagine.” (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Nothing is impossible for God. No matter where you find yourself, God is able to do much more than you could even begin to dream or imagine.

You can be “confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)

God can bring you out of your mess. He can fill the emptiness. He can transform your life.

If your life is in a mess, know that God is able to do a creative miracle. He can fix it. Put your faith and confidence in God.

God is with you always, even in the darkest times

When God created the world, we are told that, “the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” (Genesis 1:2)

In the beginning, when the world was a formless mass of empty darkness, God was there. His Spirit was hovering over the waters.

Today your life may be dark and empty. Know this! God is with you even in your darkest hour.

Jesus told us that we can be sure of this “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)

And if God is with you, you will be ok. God is in complete control. He is the inventor of life. He is with you. You can rest in Him.

We are told, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Roman 8:31)

No matter what gets thrown at you, you can hold onto God, knowing that God is with you. He will see you through. God can!

He knows what is happening. He knows all. He sees all. He is all powerful.

God says, who or what can “separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?’” (Romans 8:35)

No! Absolutely nothing can separate you from God’s best. With him you can be victorious.

We are told, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:37-39)

God is with you even in the darkest moments. You are not alone. God works all things out for the good.

God can bring light into your darkness

When God created the world, it was dark. There was no light, but God said, “Let there be light: and there was light.” (Genesis 1:3)

God merely spoke! He said, “Let there be light,” and light broke through. Light shone. Light pierced the darkness, and the darkness had to go. Darkness was dispelled.

You may be in a dark place. You may be overwhelmed, oppressed and in despair. Maybe it feels like darkness has its claws in you.

God brought light into darkness. He can bring light into your darkest situation!

You do not need to walk or live in the dark.

Jesus told us, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” (John 8:12)

Today, choose to stay close to Jesus. He is the light of the world. You will be safe in the arms of the Savior.

We are told, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7)

If you feel like you have slipped away from God, return to him. Draw near. Walk in the light. In the light of Jesus, you will experience God’s grace and peace and the blood of Jesus will bring cleansing and you will find protection from the darkness.

“For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!” (Ephesians 5:8)

Have you been living in the darkness? Are you haunted by your past? Are you hiding from God? Are you afraid? Do you feel guilty and condemned? Return to the Light of the world – Jesus.

Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” (Ephesians 5:11)

Arise! Turn your back on your past. Turn from the darkness. Set your eyes on Jesus. Walk with Jesus. Follow him.

After God brought light into the darkness, we are told that “God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.” (Genesis 1:4)

God is good. He can make something good out of your bad situation. Choose to have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness. Come out of the darkness and be set apart unto God. Walk in God’s light.

God wants to lead and guide you. He offers comfort. He is the good Shepherd.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)

God is with you in your darkest hour. He can deliver you from the darkness. He can bright light. He can shine in you.

God can make something beautiful out of nothing

After God brought light into the darkness, he started to create the word. He made the mountains, rivers, seas. He flung the stars into space. He made the animals, insects, birds, and bees.

He brought colors into the world. He made something beautiful out of nothing.

God can make something beautiful out of your life, no matter what has happened or where you find yourself today. No matter how messed up your life is, God can work all things out for the good.

God can cause “all things” to “work out for the good” for “those who love him”, and who “have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

God can bring about a change. He can “crown” you with “beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” (Isaiah 61:3)

God can rebuild your life. He can restore.

He can bring newness and refreshing to your life. He can do something new. God can even make “a pathway through the wilderness.“ He can “create rivers in the dry wasteland.”(Isaiah 43:19)

Jesus told us that he came “to proclaim good news to the poor.” He came to “proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4:18-19)

Put your hope in God. He came to bring good news. He came set the captive free. He came to open bling eyes. He came to release the oppressed. He came to usher in a time of God’s undeserved favor.

Put your faith in God. He can move mountains. He can make a way. He can bring change. He can bring color to your world. He can make all things new. He can make something beautiful out of nothing. He can even move mountains.

Jesus told us “Have faith in God. Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:22-24)

God can make something beautiful out of nothing. Trust in Him. Give him your burdens, your disappointments and your hopes and dreams for the future. God can make a way.

Finally…

Know this! God made you. He made you one of a kind. There is no one quite like you. He designed the innermost parts of your being. He made you wonderfully complex. He knows what makes you tick. He made you and he doesn’t make junk. You may not have been planned but God planned for you to be here on planet earth at this time in history.

When God first created man, he said, Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” (Genesis 1:26)

God made people in his image, and God made you.

Why did God make man? Why did God make you?

To rule the earth. God made you on purpose. He made you with a purpose to fulfil. But God also wants a close relationship with his people.

Adam and Eve were the first created people. They had a close walk with God. They often spent time with God.

But tragedy struck. The enemy came. His sole mission was to destroy the relationship that man had with God.

Adam and Eve were tempted and fell into sin. Immediately, after sinning, “they hid from the Lord God.”  (Genesis 3:8)

Sin causes us to hide from God. Are you hiding from Him? Sin caused a spiritual death. Adam and Eve were cut off from God’s best.

This is where you come in

When Adam and Eve fell, God set up a plan to save people.

If you look at the rest of the Bible, from the fall onwards, it shows a picture of a loving God wanting to restore this broken relationship between God and sinful man.

God’s plan

God set up a plan to make a way for you and me to be restored in relationship to God.

We are told, “God so loved the world (THAT IS YOU) that he gave his one and only Son (JESUS), that whoever believes in him (PUTS THEIR FAITH IN HIM) shall not perish (IN HELL SEPARATED FROM GOD) but have eternal life (COME INTO A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD THAT CAN START TODAY AND THAT GOES ON INTO ETERNITY).” (John 3:16)

Man was cut off from God because of sin, but God’s plan from the beginning was to send his one and only son, Jesus, to the cross, to pay the full price for sin, so that we can come back into a relationship with God.

On the cross, Jesus took the full punishment for our sin. He took the fall for us and paid the full price so that we can be restored into a relationship with God.

You do not need to face life alone. You do not need to face eternity alone.

If you want to start or restart your walk with God, click here to pray a simple prayer we have set up for you.

God can turn the tide. He can bring change. God is always with you, even in your darkest hour God can bring light into your darkness. God can make something beautiful out of nothing. He can make all things new.

He can…

Today, put your hope in God.
